Semiya Payasam Recipe


Ingredients:

Semiya - 1 cup
Milk - 1 liter
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Cardamom Powder - a pinch
Cashew nuts - 10
Raisins - 10
Ghee

Method:


Heat ghee in a pan, roast the cashew nuts and raisins till golden brown. Once done keep it aside
In the same pan, add the semiya and roast it until it turns a light brown shade. Remove from fire and keep it aside.
In a vessel heat 1 cup water, when it boils add the roasted semiya and let it cook for 10 mins in a medium heat.
Now add the Milk and combine well. Add sugar and allow it to cook for 10 mins in a low flame. Stir it once in a while.
Add the cardamom powder, roasted cashews and raisins, turn of the fire.
Serve it hot or cold.
Semiya Payasam is ready to eat now.
